It depends on the process and the part. Compression moulded parts can run in the low thousands, and LSR injection parts usually need higher volumes to justify the tool. Tell us your annual quantity and we will tell you which process gives you the lowest total cost, tooling included.
Yes. Every tool we run is designed and cut in our own mould shop on imported automated mould making equipment, for liquid silicone injection, compression and plastic injection alike. Nothing is subcontracted to a separate tool room, so a dimensional correction takes days rather than weeks.
A 2D drawing, a 3D model (STEP or IGES) or a physical sample, plus the material, hardness, colour, annual quantity and the application. If you are not sure about material or hardness, describe the service conditions and we will propose something.
Tooling lead time depends on cavitation and complexity. We give a firm tooling schedule with the quote, along with a design for manufacture review that flags any geometry that will cost you money in production before the tool is cut.
Yes. We hold ISO 13485:2016 alongside ISO 9001:2015, and medical product runs in the clean room with a dedicated post curing oven so that it never shares equipment with food grade or industrial product.

Compression puts a preform into an open cavity and closes the press on it: cheap tooling, no runner waste, best for flat and shallow parts. Injection fills a closed tool through a runner or cold runner system: faster cycles, finer detail, tighter tolerances, more expensive tooling. Volume and geometry decide which one is cheaper per part.
Solid silicone (HTV) is milled, weighed and compression moulded, which keeps tooling cost down and suits large or flat parts. LSR is dosed and injected automatically, which suits thin walls, fine detail, high volume and any part where manual handling would cause cosmetic rejects. Medical valves, membranes and baby nipples are almost always LSR.
Yes. We run silk screen printing, pad transfer printing, laser etching, epoxy doming, PU protective coating and oil or matte spray coating, all in clean rooms, with a UV activation system for repeatable adhesion and an automatic paint line for batch consistency.
Yes. Our assembly plant handles product and part assembly, die cutting, adhesive backing and packaging, so we can ship a packed retail unit with your artwork rather than a bag of loose mouldings.
Yes. Rubber is mixed and colour matched in a dedicated clean mixing room. Send a Pantone reference or a physical sample.
Blooming is usually incomplete cure or an additive migrating to the surface. Post curing normally clears it. We cover the causes in detail in our technical articles.
Yes. Where the parting line cannot be tolerated on the visible or sealing face, we add a surface grinding operation rather than leaving the witness mark on the part.
