Most of the products we ship are not a single moulding. A resuscitator is a plastic housing, a silicone valve, a mask and a bag. A night light is a moulded silicone shell over a plastic carrier and an electronics module.
Running plastic injection in the same building as the rubber lines removes a supplier boundary from the middle of the assembly, which is where tolerance arguments usually start.
